Wrangaton Golf
Club was formed in 1895 when a 9 hole golf course was established on
land at the foot of the southern edge of Dartmoor.
A further 50 acres of parkland was purchased in 1988,
and Donald Steele, designer of the world famous Loch Lomond golf course, laid
out an additional 9 holes. The
result a unique course of 9
moorland holes and 9 parkland holes.
The course Par
is 70 and measures 6065 yards and offers a challenge to golfers of all levels.
Situated only 5
minutes off the A38 between South Brent and Ivybridge, the peace and tranquility
offered can only be matched by its magnificent views across the
South Hams towards the sea.
With its
relaxed and friendly atmosphere the Clubhouse and Conservatory make it an ideal
place to enjoy a great day out, with
a delicious snack, drink or even a traditional Sunday lunch to round off your
day.
